Keynote Speaker: Caitlin Casey
Caitlin Casey (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caitlin_Casey) is a professor of physics and astronomy at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her pioneering research investigates galaxy formation in the early universe, focusing especially on the most massive, dust-obscured systems. As Principal Investigator of the COSMOS collaboration along with Jeyhan Kartaltepe, and most recently the COSMOS-Web survey, she is at the forefront of mapping high-redshift galaxies and testing fundamental models of cosmology and astrophysics. Prof. Casey is also deeply committed to equity in STEM and founded the TAURUS program to provide underrepresented undergraduates with summer research opportunities.
